Dr. Notaro has been in practice in Mattituck, NY since 1990. She graduated magna cum laude from New York University in 1974, cum laude from State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY in 1978, and did her dermatology residency at Albert Einstein Medical School and Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx which she completed in 1982. She practiced in Lynbrook, NY, until she moved to Southold, NY in 1988.
She is a board certified Dermatologist, and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, of Cosmetic Surgery. She is also a 30-year member of the Women's Dermatology Society, a member of Suffolk County Medical Society, Suffolk County Dermatology Society, NYS Medical Society and NYS Dermatology Society. She is currently as associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Stony Brook University, where she teaches.
She has been named one of the Top Doctors in New York by Castle Connelly since 2005, and a Top Doctor in Newsday (2009) and the "Best of the Best Dermatologists" by Dan's Papers for the past two years. She has a busy general dermatology practice, with a special interest in Cosmetic Dermatology, especially the non-surgical face-live and body contouring using non-surgical techniques. She has treated more than 19,000 patients over the past 20 years, and sucessfully treats hundreds of patients for cosmetic purposes each year.
She is married with three children and lives in Southold, NY. She has been a Girl Scout leader for 20 years, and has been active in her church and PTA. For 18 years, she ran a free skin cancer screening at Eastern Long Island Hospital. She has been an attending physician at Eastern Long Island Hospital since 1988, and at Peconic Bay Medical Center since 1995.
