Roy H. Hinman II, M.D. was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and received a Bachelors Degree in
Psychology from Tulsa University in 1975. After receiving his Masters Degree in Human
Resource Management from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, he completed medical
school at the Universidad of Technologica de Santiago in Santo Domingo, The Dominican
Republic. He served his family practice residency with the University of Florida Medical Program
at the University Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida.
Before relocating to St. Augustine Beach, Dr. Hinman worked as an emergency room physician at
Bradford County Hospital in Starke, Florida. Board-certified in Family Practice, he is a member of
the Florida Medical Association, the American Association of Family Practitioners, the Florida
Association of Family Practitioners, and the St. Johns County Medical Society.
In his spare time Dr. Hinman enjoys scuba diving, hunting, fishing, and working with
computers. He is married and has five children.
Commissioned into active/reserve duty with the U.S. Army in 1975 as a Second Lieutenant, from
Oklahoma State University, Dr. Hinman has over 32 years military duty in the U.S., Germany,
Korea, Kuwait, Panama, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq, he is presently serving as State Surgeon of the
U.S. Virgin Islands.
Colonel Hinman looks forward to serving the medical needs of the Military Community as well as his civilian patients.
